Happy New Year!

Hello, everyone! I know you are astounded that I have actually updated my blog!! I saw an old friend today who told me that she checks up here every once in a while, and I felt bad for not posting knowing that others (besides Alex, of course!) were reading.

Anyway, I am in Oklahoma City celebrating Christmas with my grandparents. To celebrate, we're painting their house! Doesn't that sound exciting? My grandparents are trying to sell their house here so they can move to their other house in Missouri, so we are helping them along in the selling process by repainting some of the rooms.

As fun as all of that has been, the highlight of this trip was having dinner with Sheila and her family tonight. Sheila was my private clarinet teacher for two years in middle school and high school until her husband was transferred here to OKC with the Air Force. She has two precious daughters (and one more on the way!) and we had the best time tonight catching up with each other. Chloe (age 3) kept all of us laughing with her little girl antics, and I enjoyed some precious time cuddling with Reagan (age 6), their mentally handicapped daughter. When I get back home and have access to my card reader, I will post some pictures from our dinner tonight, but for now, I will just say that I was deeply blessed to spend some time with this precious family.

I hope all of you have a Happy New Year and a blessed 2006. Until then!!
